Motswana musician making strides in the US

Daniel Godwill aka Deejay Dagizus is “Dallas’ most wanted”! His passion for music as well as a defined work ethic have seen him establish himself in the music industry of probably the most prolific country, when it comes to the performing arts. The Marapong born, USA resident has taken it upon himself to break down barriers in the most unprecedented manner.

Dagizus is known to mix genres ranging from hip hop to gospel and this has seen him become a hit with the Dallas locals who have responded by constantly engaging him for their functions.

Apart from his internet based radio show, dubbed Ko Ga Mmapereko, (www. livestream.com/djdagizus) which airs on Saturdays from 6pm, he has also set up a music recording and production company. Dagee Records has now signed artists from Africa, Canada and the US. Names such as Nicky Blake and Mr Elzy come to the fore.

Dagizus embarks on regular tours to the motherland and the past festive season was no exception. The Lets Move It Tour took him to Palapye, Francistown and Kasane, with the legendary DJ Bunz featuring alongside his entourage.

However, he laments poor professionalism of local promoters and their penchant for making empty promises.

According to Stop The Presses!

On Saturday, Houston's publicist confirmed to the Associated Press that the award-winning "I Will Always Love You" singer died. She was 48. The timing of her death, the eve of the Grammys, the biggest music event of the year, makes the horrible news even more tragic. According to CNN, Houston was pronounced dead at 3:55 p.m. PT at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

We are glad to announce that our own Dj Dagizus who was rocking Botswana, Africa recently with his Let's move it tour made it safe back in America. The show was a success even though there were some ups and downs here and there, specially with promoters and some local talents, he managed to make a mark and impressed his viewers.
